Visitors looking for specific technology for tire testing should check out the new Flat Belt Tire Testing Rig from A&D Korea. The system uses a flat belt and a dynamic or static tire stand that allow testers to constantly adjust speed, steering and camber angles and load force with a total of six degrees of freedom so that real-world conditions can be replicated as closely as possible.

The testing rig also features A&D’s Air Bearing technology, which is designed to stand up to the harsh load conditions involved in tire testing. Constructed from carbon material, the Air Bearing prevents damage to the steel belt, while offering safety and durability.

To ensure measurements are accurate and easily processed, the model-based shear strain gauges detect shared force at the optimized spring element. These signals are immediately converted to digital signals and the six components of force are calculated in real time.
